Here is a little background into our program. The Wesley Children’s Center is over 23 years old. It was started when we learned that a large number of young children were going to an empty home after school. The WCC offers a safe, loving and well-supervised environment for children in K – 5th grade. Our outreach mission is to provide assistance for children who would be unable to participate in a childcare program.
After School Program
Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Afternoon snack, homework time, free play, arts and crafts, learning enrichment lessons, and field trips are all part of the program. We take the children bowling at Holiday Bowl the first Friday of each month and skating at Chester Skateland the third Friday.
The Center is open on most planned full day closings of the Colonial Heights School System. On these days we will be open from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. We are open to accept children on half day closings of school as well.
Tuition prices for After School: $60/week (Two children $108/week)
Summer Day Camp Program
Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. Part of our group goes on a field trip every day. Weekly field trips include bowling at Holiday Bowl, swimming, and movies at the local movie theatre. Other trips for the 2011 Summer Session include Swaders Sports Park, Chuck E Cheese, IMAX Theatre, and Inflation Nation. Specialized classes for the 2011 Summer Session include cooking, sign language, Faith Through Arts & Crafts, and Paint n Play. Daily activities include: free play, arts and crafts, and learning enrichment lessons.
Tuition prices for Summer Program: $110/week (Two children $198/week)
Before School Program
Kindergarten through 5th Grade
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 6:30-8:30 a.m. Includes morning snack and transportation to school. Children may be registered for Before School ONLY if they are also enrolled for the After School program.
